Red arrows
A flight to remember

A spectacular sight above our site near the Pyramids this week as the Red Arrows flew over to honour the 80th anniversary of D-Day. A moment to reflect and thank the men and women involved for giving us the freedom to enjoy it.

Getting  our ducts in a row…

Ducting is being put in place at Frontage 5 in front of the Pyramids. The ducting is a series of orange tubes (pictured) which will house the wiring for the lighting on this part of the frontage. Lighting here will match that throughout the completed Frontages by Long Curtain Moat and Southsea Castle which are already open.

Machinery on beach
Life’s a beach

We continued to re-profile the beach in front of Frontage 5 (Pyramids to just east of Speakers’ Corner).

Once the beach material is fully in place, you will only be able to see the top couple of steps leading from the new promenade onto the beach – the lower parts of the stepped revetment will be completely covered in beach material.

We had a great time speaking to the Portsmouth Women’s Club who meet monthly at The Queen’s Hotel, speaking to local women about different aspects of the scheme and what is to come!
