Swing benches
A swing of beauty!
They’re finally in! Very exciting developments on Frontage 4 (Southsea Castle) in front of the Bandstand Field this week as the swing benches have been installed! They're still in their wrapping in this image, but they’re looking great and we can confirm that they are super comfy....and very Instagram-able!

We've now installed the large step unit which leads up from the Rock Garden onto the new promenade. Due to the Rock Garden being at a lower level than other parts of the seafront, this unit is one of our larger pre-cast concrete units and it weighs an impressive 12.8 tonnes!

The stair of the show
More stairs and terrace units have been placed at Speakers’ Corner this week to the east of The Briny restaurant. It’s really starting to take shape now and there will be nearly 100 pre-cast concrete units in the Speakers’ Corner section when finished. As previously mentioned, this will be made up of steps, terraced planters, trees, seating and a play area.

Every day’s a school day!
We had a visit from Portsmouth College this week. The students came to enjoy a presentation on the scheme and learn about what we’re doing - and why. We used our wave tank to demonstrate the effects of some different types of sea defences.
