Boulder garden

Rocking it!

We recycled boulders from old sea defences to construct boulder gardens – a fun and educational way for children to learn about the different sea creatures they may come across on our local coastline. Beautiful wildflowers add to making this garden a stunning addition to our newly opened frontage.

Fabulous flowers

Our wildflower banks lining the Bandstand Field are now starting to bloom as you can see from this photo. They will continue to multiply and add colour to the field edges. Bees will enjoy them too as they fly in to take shelter in our bee posts located within the wildflower banks.

Helping hand (rails)

Stairs with timber handrails lead from the top promenade of the ‘theatre of the sea’ in front of Southsea Castle to the bottom promenade. There are also fully accessible slopes either end of the ‘theatre of the sea’ connecting to the top and bottom promenade.

Swing bench

Swing, swing along…

One of our personal highlights has got to be the two swing benches that we have installed along the curved wall in front of the Bandstand Field. We can’t wait to see all of your photos taken on them as you enjoy the perfect place to sit and enjoy the sound of the waves.
