The Seafront Masterplan Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) was considered by Cabinet on 19 March 2021 and was formally adopted on this date by Portsmouth City Council.
There was plenty of public consultation over the years prior to the plan being accepted.
In 2013, Portsmouth City Council adopted the Seafront Masterplan Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). Public consultation on the first stage of this review took place between 2 July 2018 and 27 August 2018, and throughout 2019.
Further consultation began in September 2020 and aimed to ensure that the Seafront Masterplan was able to fully take advantage of the regeneration opportunities the Southsea Coastal Scheme will create. At the same time, we sought public comment on the Collaborative Engagements Plan for the Southsea Coastal Scheme. Consultation ended on 30 October 2020.
