Meet the Team: Colin Toovey
Task Team Manager – Royal HaskoningDHV
As the ‘Task Team Manager – Civil/Coastal’, I will be leading and coordinating the majority of the design-related aspects of the Southsea Coastal Scheme – combining the technical, aesthetic, affordability and stakeholder/regulator requirements into a pack of scheme drawings and associated documents to enable construction as well as providing input as and when required to enable delivery of the scheme.
I have an MEng in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Imperial College, London. I grew up in Dorset but have spent most of my life in Sussex (with a few study/work stints overseas in places such as France, Trinidad, Switzerland).
I have been with Royal HaskoningDHV for 13yrs so have worked in a similar role mainly on various other coastal/fluvial projects, ranging from the North Portsea Island Coastal Scheme locally, to projects abroad such as Colombia, Azerbaijan and Trinidad. Prior to that I spent over a year as a site engineer around various sites in Sussex.
Outside of work, I am interested in sports, travel, nature, architecture and am a Francophile.
